CALL FOR PAPERS, Special Issue IJDAR: Digital Tourism Research (IJDAR)

The IJDAR is an increasingly important journal (covered since 2010 by Scopus) for the development of digital applications to accounting theory and practice. The primary audience of this publication comprises academics, graduate students, practitioners and all others interested in digital accounting research. The journal welcomes and encourages articles from both practitioners and academics.

The objective of this thematic issue is to call for various and renewed approaches about Digital Tourism. Research-based articles are invited from across the world that address aspects of this theme and that will be of interest to our readers. Possible subjects might include research relating to the following broad areas:
·         Digital systems for tourism governance
·         Accessibility of information for the management of tourist destinations
·         Networks and new forms of business interaction
·         Trends in tourism e-commerce and intermediation
·         Digital Tourism and Tourist Gaze
·         Implications of digital tourism in creating image strategies process
·         New views of heritage, the possibilities of augmented reality
.         Effects of digital tourism in tourists motivation, expectations and experiences

Submission of papers is open to everyone interested in the topic. Manuscripts should follow the general submission guidelines of the International Journal of Digital Accounting Research (http://www.ijdar.org/manuscript-style). Authors should indicate the name of the call for papers in the “cover letter” section of the submission form.

  • March 15, 2014: Deadline for proposal (title and an abstract of up to 250 words)
  • March 30, 2014: Notification of proposal acceptance
  • September 15, 2014: Full paper submission
  • October 17, 2014: Send comments and revisions to authors
  • November 30, 2014: Final paper submission
  • December 2014: Publication
